Ruby red, intense when young, tending to slight garnet. The bouquet is intense yet delicate. The palate is dry, full-bodied and typical bitterish. As it ages, it will become more refine assuming a full and harmonious flavour. It's a very tasty cherry and beef flavour on a sweet mid-palate followed by a tart, moderately tannic finish. It goes well with wonderful dishes such as steak with port-rosemary sauce, Lammfleisch and red pepper kebabs or pork tenderloin with balsamic cranberry sauce.
